Cuppa Friday Feature - Dads of Cuppa Cappuccino
I remember going through my dad’s stack of Reader’s Digest books about fourteen years ago. I came across a magazine with a tagline “Still passionate about coffee”. Ms. Franka Maria Andoh was on the cover page and her story had been featured in an article. My curious mind read the story and I was instantly inspired. It’s the kind of creative connection you get by interacting with someone who is into something you’re innately passionate about. “I want to work with her one day”, I told my dad. He had already been involved in a project with her and was very encouraging of my request. “You will learn a lot”, was his response. Years later, I found myself working as an intern, and then a National Service Assistant and today in a leadership capacity as a manager. My dad has played a pivotal role in my evolution at Cuppa Cappuccino. He has taught me about PROCESS and the need to be faithful in another man’s land - values that (he says) are lost in my generation. 'Everyone wants to be a leader, and is quick to criticize leaders but not everyone is ready to submit to learn what leadership is about' .He taught me this. He has nurtured me in the cradle of encouragement and hope when I was overwhelmed by the obstacles I faced along the way. I never like to assume a position of having 'arrived' but I’m thankful for how far I’ve come because of his influence. I’m thankful that I have an opportunity to impact Cuppa Cappuccino because of his impact on me. I wish all fathers and father figures a happy father’s day! Your influence matters!
Happy Father‘s Day
